I have a 2002 Yukon and I was wondering if anyone can tell me if I can hook up an amp to the stock stereo. I figure all I need is RCA jacks on the back of the stereo but I'm also not sure how to find the hot wire and remote. An answere to any of this would be extemely appreciated.

Hey there. Did you ever find out if the stock raido have the Amp pre-outs? I just bought an 05 and was wondering that also.

Also seaching the forums to find how to take the dask off.

*** And I would imagine the "remote" wire would be light blue. Not sure wnat you mean by the hot wire.

You dont NEED RCA jacks to hook up most amps. A lot of amps have whats called a "high level input" which is where you would wire in the speaker speaker wires from the head unit. Its not quite as easy, clean, or clear as the RCA but if you wanted to keep the head unit stock its another option.

I know, but I would rather run RCA's.

On another note... How do you remove the dash?

and no the factory radio does not have rca outputs.

I went to E-bay and found a converter that plugs right into the stock harness, i think it was 30 bucks or somthing like that.

It works great i got 1200 watts going to to 12 sounds great and i kept all stock system
