86 tranny issue

I'm trying to restore an 86 mr2. I've gone a little crazy recenly buying transmissions. I've got 2 c50's and 2 c52's. I want to rebuild all of them, sell what i dont use. The problem is pulling the fifth gear. The clearance is so small and the thing is on so tight everything ive tried has destroyed tools. The dealer wants a billion dollars for the SST. Any sugestions?
