96 PA misfire problems

My PA seems to have developed a misfire issues. At any given time it will start to misfire, doesn't mater if at stop light or driveing down the highway at 65. Code reader says it is a P0300 Multiple Cylinder Misfire. To me that is not much help, I knew that without attaching a code reader. Anyway does anyone know how to resolve this issue. The car has 160K on it tranny seems ok and have just replaced the ECM thinking that may be the problem, it reports the same code. Help please.

When you get a P300 code, it means the misfire is random and is moving around from cylinder to cylinder. More than likely the problem would be something related to the engine's air/fuel mixture, such as a major vacuum leak, leaky EGR valve or lower than normal fuel pressure (weak pump or faulty pressure regulator).:frown:

I don't think it is related to a fuel problem. By stepping on the gas pedal, most of the time will cause the engine to snap out of it and run just fine. I have also noticed that when the misfire happens that if it last for more than about 10 seconds, the traction control light comes on and the MIL is flashing. When the missfiring passes MIL stays on, Traction Control light goes out. This is wierd, any ideas?
