I hope somebody can answer this question!!!!! I just recently had an accident with my 4 cylinder 2001 Honda Accord VP which is supposedly the equivalent of the DX model. The tires that came on the vehicle were Dunlop 195 70 R14. I decided that since three of the rims were destroyed in the accident that I might as well upgrade the tires and wheels. I consulted with the tire shop who advised me that the vehicle would accomodate a 15 in wheel and the new tires that were selected were TOYO 205 65 R15. There appears to be some rubbing on the front tires when the wheel is now turned with the upgraded tire. I called back to the tire shop who assured me these were the correct tires. I have also contacted six other dealers who have advised me as follows:

4 state the tires are the correct size and will work
2 state the tires are not the right size..........

My concern at the moment is that the rubbing may in fact not be caused by the incorrect tire size, however, by a problem with the suspension which is a result of the accident........ in either case... can someone please help me clarify the mystery on the tires...

here are the facts
195/70-14 = 24.7" diameter
195/65-15 = 25.0" diameter
205/60-15 = 24.7" diameter
205/65-15 = 25.5" diameter

The tires you have are taller than recommended but, the wheel probably has the wrong offset as well because the extra .8" typically will not cause a problem. The wheel offset is to low it should be a 40mm or a 45mm offset and you probably have something like a 30mm or 35 mm offset.
