Okay, ummm...

Nothing, really, the tint isn't too dark, the stance
is even, I don't see anywere to improve.

Try chopping the roof.
It's not too hard, but a step up from that.

i was waiting for g-man to do a chop...
it looks good, nice and clean
if i had to add c+c it would obviously be to do more

@ An Angry Clown, I use Photoshop 6.0

With a bigger pic, we could see if you missed anything...

But nice job, though. I just recently did my first chopped roof
on a chevy uplander (Chevy Uplander SS) (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=647094) check it out.

ok, i made the pic bigger. Just click on it. Nice job on that uplander.

The only things I can see are that the front and rear
pillars look pixelized, and that generator thing that
was originally covered up by the roof looks wierd.

ok, thanks man. But once you click on the link to the car, do you clic the picture again? If you dont, click it again, and it will be the original size, and much less pixilated.

you could try different wheels.
shave the door handles.
smooth the gas cap.
side mirror delete.
that would really clean it up a lot.

how did you tint the windows?

G-man422
11-28-2006, 08:09 PM
For the windows i just used a 50% airbrush. I like it because if you overlap the paintbrush it doesnt spray more, just stays at 50%. i'll try and shave everything too.

GreyGoose006
11-28-2006, 08:11 PM
so you just airbrush black at 50% overtop of the windows?
or do you make a mask?

An Angry Clown

what i do is use the lasso tool, go around the window and go to adjust - brightness and just lower it

G-man422
11-28-2006, 08:19 PM
i just did it free hand. idk how to use the mask.

wow. top chopping is tough.
i just tried it.
very hard.
mine looked like shit so i deleted it.

i spend a good 3-4 hours total on that one. (i worked on it for 3 days)

GreyGoose006
11-30-2006, 02:10 AM
ok, you said it took you three days to chop the top?
i just realized the easiest way ever to do it.
just cut the picture in half where the body meets the windows. cut the part out. scale it to .95 vertical only and paste it back in. works perfectly. you have to do a little filling in, but nothing major.

G-man422
11-30-2006, 07:35 AM
can you give me an example? i dont really understand what you mean.

GreyGoose006

to get this,
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g103/GreyGoose006/My%20caprice/Capricechop.jpg

i drew a selection line like this
http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g103/GreyGoose006/My%20caprice/Capricechopdemo.jpg

i cut the selection out, and scaled the HEIGHT to 85%. width was kept at 100%

then line things up and paste back in.

since lines that are slanted will change slope by 15% you have to do a little filling in, but not that much.

GreyGoose006
11-30-2006, 01:07 PM
yeah, at first i tried to cut a portion out and blend everything back in, but then i realized that this would be a lot easier. looks great too.

G-man422
12-02-2006, 03:24 PM
oh, i see now. it is a lot easier. thanks man.
