Hey guys, I have been making models for about 4 years now, and I have never painted the bodies myself, whenever i try this, the primer is too thick, i do not have an airbrush so i use the can. When i primethe body the primer is really thick and covers up all the panel lines. So every model i make my friend paints it without primer sometimes it turns out good sometimes not so good, also im not that good at painting the body either i dont put enough paint or too much. It does not say anything in the FAQ about the primer being too thick, can anyone help me out.

I've used this stuff on a couple of models. though i think its sufficient for bodies and exterior parts, it has a nasty habit of flaking off when i use it to prime the interior. what i mean is that when i use flat paints over it, they dont seem to stick well to it. the slightest touch will scrape off the flat paint to show the primer below. its quite annoying, especially if you painted the interior with a mixture of different colored paints that is hard to recreate. i guess what im trying to say is krylon is ok for gloss paints but not flats... in my experience at least.

I used Krylon sandable white primer for everything except the body of a kit...don't know what's happening to you COSMO, as it works just fine for me... But I highly recommend it, it's only $2.50 or so for a 12 ounce can. Goes on a little thick though.

For kit bodies I desire a smoother finish so I use either Tamiya white primer (make sure to use the white the grey is a coarser grain) or Mr. Surfacer 1000..
