all right guys, ive looked everywhere to figure out what these problems are and i just can get anywhere. so ive turned to you guys. ok i traded for my 91 mr2 turbo w/ 79,000 miles. its in spectacular condition, but i found out later that theres more to this car than what meets the eye.

ok, first, the timming belt is sliding off the cam gears, its hanging off the gear about 1/8 in, i cant figure out why its walking out like that i wont even drive it, im too scared it will break. ( how much is it to get the t-belt changed on average?)

second, 3rd and 5th gear grind. they will only do it when the car is warm and i shift over 2800 rpms. what could this be?

third, the chech OIL light is on, what the hell is that?

fourth, the clutch is very very shallow. i press on the clutch and its stiff for a bout 3in, then it drops straight to the floor. i can barely drive it, does it need to be bled or what?

thats all, im sorry if ive repeated any other thrads, ive tried and tried to look and im just getting no where, please guys help me!!!!

Oil light could be low oil pressure.
Your shifting problems are probably related to the clutch.
Call around to get an estimate for the timing belt.
Take the car in and have it inspected, then decide what repairs you want to do or have done by someone else.
Do you have a repair manual?
