Hi. This is my first thread here, but I've been watching for a while and I have to say I'm very impressed by the level of detail and perfection most of you achieve with your models. Hopefully I will get there one day.
I have been building models for at least 15 years on and of, but for the last few years I have had very little time do do it. That said, I had surgery on both legs since september and am not able to walk, work and do all those things that insist in keeping me from building. So I thought: what the hell, let's put that much free time to good use.
Done with the background info, let's post pictures.

This is my first model truck ever, and a first from a brand other than Tamiya, so I didn't know what to expect. It's OK so far, no major fitting problems, warping or anything like that. Only poor aspect is that it has huge molding lines. Lots of work with file and sanding paper.
1-Basic chassis complete. Painted flat black.

2-Starting front suspension.

That's it for today. Hope to post more progress soon. Coments and criticism are welcome!
Sorry for the bad pictures. I still have to work on that, and can't go outside.
Thanks for Looking
Gus

off to a great start, it appears to be fitting well. sorry to hear about your health issues, atleast you have something to do to keep you occupied.
the paint looks to be more gloss than flat though.

to alleviate any fears about the kit, ive built a few Italeri trucks over the years and the fitment is good, have had no problems building them. the only downside was that the tires are made out of two-piece plastic painted flat black :shakehead, and i believe newer kits have proper rubber tires
does yours have rubber tires?
in the past i have built: Western Star, Iveco, Renault Magnum

Thanks for the comments.
Answers:
rsxse240: No worrries about health issues. In 2 weeks or so I'll be able to start walking again. About the paint, It was my mistake. I put the wrong picture on the thread. This is the assembled chassis before painting, so it's bare plastic. As it was supposed to be all pieces flat black, I put it together befor painting.
mbwoods:Yes, mine does have rubber tires, although they are not very good ones. Fitment is indeed been good so far.
