My car: 1989 LeSabre T Type coupe
My headliner (fibre board, fabric, and all) is destroyed and is now non-existant (was tossed when I moved a few months ago). I had the idea to take the headliner from a 4dr LeSabre or Park Avenue to use as a basis for a new headliner for me. I believe the board is slightly longer on the 4dr version, but otherwise has the same width and holes for the dome lights.
Could anybody verify this for me before I start hunting for a nice headliner? My interior is in fairly nice shape (finnally!!) now and I'd like to get a headliner to finish up my interior before I move on to pulling dents and killing surface rust on the exterior.

You don't need to replace the headliner board, that is if it is still in one piece, all you need to do is replace the fabric, you can buy the fabric for about $50 and the glue for about $15 it would take it approximately 2 hours to do the job and it will look like new. I did it myself on my Lesabre 1993. If the headliner board is broken and cannot be rpiared, then I would suggest to get another one fron a junk yard from a 4 door Lesabre. I hope this helps.
