Door Lock

2004 Aveo sedan. Ever since new the driver's door lock sticks locked when the weather gets cold. I brought it in the first winter and they lubed the lock, but it didn't clear the problem. Obviously the electric unlock won't open the door. Even using the key to unlock the door is problematic when it get really cold (below 0 deg. F). Aveo sucks.

Anyone else have this problem? Hurry and reply, the extended warranty runs out soon!

I don't think the problem will be over after you lubricate it, I have a 2004 Aveo hatchback and live in a tropical area and I have the same problem, I brought it to a door specialist, I honestly don't know what they did with it, but I know they didn't have any lubrication, but they did it, now I don't have problem with my lock anymore. I think it's the motor, that's what I saw them screwing with.
But now I have the problem with the alarm, it sometimes sounds even when no one did anything with the car.
It sucks huh?
