OEM Fog Lamps

I read in another forum about replacing the original fog lamp bulbs with the high beam bulbs to get more light output from the factory fog lights. Anybody tried this mod? I's try this myself to see if it works but this place is under a big cold snap right now and I dont want to be breaking any plastic.

I don't think replacing the bulb will do you any good. It's the housing that does the reflecting and if it can't reflect the light properly it won't be any better. However, that being said some guys have changed their bulbs and said they are better but, only marginally. I tried cutting the back of my housings out and put small PIAA's in there but, that didn't work either. Time to go for a whole other assembly.
