Piece of cake depending on what you're looking for, we've got these things well under 10s in the 1/4 now and still with FWD.
I'd start conservatively, putting on a set of TOG headers with the matching RT dp/cat and a Borla exhaust should pull your bank account back a bit. Any CAI or even a K&N panel filter helps.
Add a 3.4" pulley (3.25" if your KR is low enough) along with a DHP PCM and the L67 is going to scare you - in other words don't loan it to your friends.
If you stick with the above mods you will be relatively safe if you realize you can't go trying to hit 180 mph next to a 'vette as the engine can't take extended power runs without further mods.

Are saying a street driven GTP is running in the 9's?

I don't think my friends are trying to pull anyone's legs:

I couldn't break 12 in my '98 but I wasn't all that modified.

Harmless info that was the truth, a reference to a magazine I didn't even post a link to? I can see this is a HIGHLY biased forum, you can pretty well forget about me being a sponsor and if my input so insults you I'll let everyone learn the hard way as I did.

Don't feel bad. We have all been through the school of hard knocks with our Grand Prixs. Also, we have plenty of expertise on this forum without some newb coming in believing he has a gift or any new revelations on how to mod a GTP or what goes on at another automotive forum. We could care less about that other forum. You came here to give advice which is fine but your motives were quite obvious and not in the best interests of the AF Community.
Sorry to hurt your feelings but if you would like to terminate your AF membership then I will be happy to oblige you. You should have kept this discussion via PM and heeded my PM warning.

I was actually waiting on bnaylor to chime in and get his thoughts...I will have 500 dollars to spend. What should I get with the money? Also what does everyone think about the performance packages I can get from Intense or 3800 performance and such. I have heard that its not worth getting these packages...Thnx
Oh, and by the way, this is the forum I choose to get my info from. I can be pretty loyal. AF has been my favorite forum since I started modding my Jeep.

I couldn't break 12 in my '98 but I wasn't all that modified.
Your example of a 9 second car is a caged all out modified twin turbo nitrous boosted car, doesn't relate to anything practical that most people here can relate to, afford, or build, but impressive anyway.

If you have $500, I'd do a CAI or a high flow cat.
The high flow cat would be better in the long run, but you would need to change the headers to see a serious gain.
Eventually, you'd want the CAI anyways though. I think I'd prolly do a CAI. And yes, I posted about what manufacturer to use too!
