Car show pics :)

88CiViC_DX, nemo_wolf, and melt were the first to get here fri night. while waiting for ci5ic (his car is sweet! pics do not do it justice!) to get here (9:30 pm) jer & 88CiViC_DX robbed hoopty whoop of the HX rims to stick on his car for the show. i crashed out taround 1am...i hear some of them were up til 3am. we all got up 8-ish sat morning and washed our cars, headed to breakfast, and then met up with travis_118 at the tire shop. some of his friends came down from bend as well. after that was over we headed back to my pad for some BBQ and hung out. that night we went out to see what was happening downtown. we got back sometime after midnight and just sat around talking til 3am. this morning we all went out to breakfast and afterwards everyone headed out on the roadtrip home. i'll let someone tell the stories..like the car alarms and the street racing infront of the police station :eek: :)

oh man...that was the most fun i have had in a long time. First, ci5ic im really not that crazy of a driver normally.....(coming home from k-fall to bend.. there were some pretty close passing going on.) your car looks sooo mean in a rear view mirror. Ami..thanks for letting us stay and hang out with ya.....you neighbor with the car alarm was funny. we had a car alarm beeping war, he beeped then i beeped, then he beeped back, then the whole group beeped back...it was funnny.

Man, that is a bad ass civic. What kind of corner lenses are on ci5ic's car? I wish we had car shows like that around here. All I can find are mainly domestic cars.

stock lenses missing the cover. It fell off.

Btw... that was a great weekend, we must do it again :D

The housing painted black on them? Couldn't notice at first in the pics that the cover was off of them, but I see that now.

yea... painted black. When put the lens back on after painting they just fell off.

lol, that kinda sucks. Figured out a way to fix it yet? or just sayin screw it?

Dunno. Hes kinda tired of buying lenses, but he wants to fix it, so he'll end up buying another pair.

There were a couple of CRX's actually, one has a 99 civic front end, and there was another one with a B16

I put in my corner bulbs that I bought in dunnigan, and they are this sweet deep amber color, but there are only two of them and the side of the corners are more of a yellow so it looks funny.

So if anyone knows where I could get some Roadpro RP-194A Amber bulbs, that would be apprieceated so that way my stuff wont look like crap. I am gonna send out a letter to them tommorow asking if I can order 2 more bulbs from em, cause these bulbs are hella tight, but I cant find anyone else around here that sells ones like this that arent crap.

and boy did it look like shit... it wasnt even a whol front end. all the guy did was put the 3g projectors from a 99 civic and a 99civic bumper on. He cut the crx fenders to fit around the headlights....it looked like shit.

Just got back into Spokane at 8:00pm sharp. So, this time, it only took us 8 hours (instead of 12 hours to go down there). Anyways, we (me and my buddy Shaun) had a good time down there, was good to meet all you guys. Ami (and Jer), thanks again for the hospitality!

LOL, Travis, you're right, there was some crazy ass driving happening on the way up to Bend, but it was fun! I've been dying to see your car in person ever since I joined HostBoard, and I was not dissappointed!

It was great meeting everyone. I think Mike's car look soooo much better in person, i was skeptical when i first saw pics. Also Travis that is one great looking car. Ami's car didnt look too bad as a two-tome either :) I had a great time, hope to do it again sometime :D

btw... Im now want some VX rims, or HX whichever i find first :) my car looked like 2 times better with those on.

ci5ic came down from spokane, wa. it was 9 hrs down and 8 hrs back up. that would be equal to driving from here to magic mountain down there in CA.

Anyhow, lots of people circleed the block hundreds of times, but the most memorable was when a nissan pickup truck and an old accord lined up at the lights and raced, and everyone was like http://www.nwhonda.net/phpbb/images/smiles/wtf.gif Anyhow, the truck won which was hella funny.

Also there was that stupid bitch in the old prelude that kept trying to peel out at the light everytime she came around, it was sooo lame.

actually, we saw a couple of times cars take off at the line. i was like :huh: because it was literally in front of the police station. the funny part is the cops were rolling around sweating all the cruisers when there was racing going on outside the station.

i'll have to get some pics of that guy nicks b16 crx and post them up. that was the first time i got to see it in person. i think he bought it 2 weeks ago. he'll be at the next car show for sure :D

Im sorry i couldnt roll in my 4g LX sedan but its old and tired, maybe after i get done with my new car ill put some money into it. im definately there for anything you throw, bend or klamath ...

now on to the other cars, melt yer ride is tight cause its like mines ... i would consider getting more yellow highlights since you got the yellow emblems.

Ami was pullin' pretty hard on you Trav... But I do have to say that it was a pretty short "race", so who knows what would happen in the long run.

It looked cool though, and sounded great! I love the way Ami and Travis' cars sound (I never get to hear my own exhaust from outside the car so I don't even know what mine sounds like).

heh... i'd like to see that and i would film it. ill bring my car and travis can use my steelies :) All the cars sounded great, wish i had a diff exhasut though, mine gets too loud and buzzy in the higher revs

Your car sounds tight its all good. I like how travises car sounds, you could never achieve that sound with a SOHC engine.

first off, sorry bay area people..you missed it :(. they had to go back past my house on the highway to get out of town. actually, jer was driving while i snapped pics.

i agree...that wasn't a real "race" we were already going 50-55 when it started. i'm sure if he didn't have the 17's on my car wouldn't have pulled on him at all...i'm also sure that if we would have kept going the zc would have won...the y8 was all the way at 7200rpm and i know the zc still had to have room to tach out. stick some steelies on travis + my ride w/ working injector and some vtec = one sick battle

:confused: my car didn't tach out! never hit the rev limiter. i held the a6 to 7000 a couple of times and Jer to 7200. the pm6 ecu is still in. shouldn't that ecu tach out at 6800? one of these days i'll have him open it up and see if it has been chipped.

anyways...i have to flick t-diddy a lil shit and keep him on his toes ;)

mdnnccivicrcr is the man!! I was bitching about not being able to find good image hosting and he pointed me to yahoo image hosting, which doesent let you remote link to images but still is tight, I just wonder what they mean by not being able to link to high res images.

Speaking of which, is there any way to downsize a shitload of images at once? Cause right now it will take me forever cause I got like 120 pics and I would have to open, change image size, save for web, name image, repeat, and that will take a year.

well if you could send me some of them I could help you, I have Adobe Photoshop and I can resize them and try to make the filesize however big or small you need it. can't do them all at once, still have to do them one at a time, but usually don't take that long. had to do it before.

yeah my intake just opens a can of whoop ass at around 4500rpm. It get sooo loud and throaty that i cant even hear my radio anymore..... its loud as hell.... but since its real thoraty and not all raspy, its sounds good.

I know how to do it in photoshop, I just wish there was a quicker way. I did it with this camedia bullshit though and it didnt take as long so its all good.

well... ci5ic, travis, Custom creations members, 88CiViC_DX, melt, and nemo_wolf...everyone is going to owe you a huge thanks next year!

the owner of the shop highly doubted we could get more than 10 cars let alone anyone from out of town to come...and fail. considering we threw this together in less than 3 weeks, only printed up 100 flyers, and only used word of mouth advertising the shop owner was very happy we used all 25 spaced plus the 5 who parked in the parking lot next door.
this means we get the green light to have some real fun next year!

we can hold it on a sunday when the shop is closed and used the WHOLE lot (he owns all those shops + car lot). we can have burnout contests, mini's hopping, and a sound-off. they will get trophies and cover all classes in car & trucks. we can BBQ there if we want...and so on :D

so, get those engines ready this winter for a road trip cuz when spring hits....it's on! :jump:
