my friend and i are about to plop in an aem cold air intake into his '95 gs-r, any tips? i think we have to take off the front...

hey man it isn't too bad but it is a pain the ass...you have to take a lot of things off first like the wheel and even the tire well...it isn't hard just a pain

I managed to do it without taking off the wheel or even jacking it up until the very end. Of course, that was because I didn't have any tools: it was a total pain in the ass. Smart plan is to jack it up nice and high, take off wheel, loosen the wheel well cover, etc. All of this is in the AEM instructions.
WB valve is also a good idea. Don't try to install it until the CAI is in the car, though. You need to know where to cut the pipe as the valve has a large diameter.

Sorry Blatch, I know you started this post a couple months ago, but like the other posters have stated, it's not hard, it's just a PITA. Picture my predicament: I found that my JRSC moved the throttle body forward and down from its stock position, so I had to cut about 2" of my AEM CAI intake tube in the middle just so it would fit!! Talk about a bitch!!

jeez man. hard. my friend ended up doing it while i was at school (with his dad). took him 7 hours. he didn't have to take off the wheel, just the front of the car

ya its a bit fdifficult but well worth the work...ya i think he will ahve to take off the front.
