Mercedes C-Class DTM 1994 - Sonax / Building report.

Hi guys,

Since I don't have a digicam, I'm forced to keep you up to date with plain text :(

1. Chassis and interior are now build. Will do this one curbside, so no engine detail is done. I've finished the interior with carbon fibre decal where applicable and did some detail painting.
2. While mounting the wheels, one support broke off :( Will have to fix this.
3. Body is sprayed, decals set and 3 coats of varnish are set. Have sanded out some dust particles and tried to polish the clear varnish, but it keeps being a bit dull, so will have to figure out, how to get this one right.
4. Still to be done. Windows, mirrors, front and rear lights, aerials etc. In other words, the small parts.

Since I will be out of town for the rest of the week, I don't expect it to be finshed before october.

Once finished, I'll make some pictures, scan them and post them.

So here's another short update.

I rectified the wheel, did some additional wheel detailing, polishing body work and black stripes on window painting. Also front lights are installed now. Rear spoiler still needs to be done and aerials. Have to get some alu bases somewhere to finish off. Probably next week it'll be ready. Then some pictures, scanning and you can see.

Hope to see some pics soon. This is still my favorite merc of all the DTM's i made.
