The biggest bar night of the year officially is the biggest PITA of the year. After my plans got screwed up multiple times, and me realizing that all the bars were packed with people I really didn't want to ever see again. I reluctantly went out with a few friends. Moving inside the bars was near impossible, and I was in no mood to deal with crowds, and wait 30 minutes for a drink, so I said screw it after awhile and took the vr4 out.
After cruising for a bit, it became apparent the cops were either dealing with sobriety checkpoints or accidents, because I didn't see ANY on the roads. Anyway, I'm stuck at a red light and I hear a massive blowoff behind me. Light goes green and an SS, just like Slowprocess', screams by me in the left lane. I launch and as I redline 1st I hear a blowoff valve that is a hell of alot louder than mine. He slows a bit, so for a second I think he wants to line up. Nope. Just as I was about a car length off his rear bumper he nails it and puts a bus length on me in no time. By the time I'm halfway through 3rd it's a joke. After a split second of debating whether to continue the chase, I finish off 3rd just to see if he'll let off and pull over to let me see his setup. No such luck. I let off after a bit in 4th, and he keeps going...easily hitting 150 I'm sure. It was an awesome sight, and it sounded amazing. :boink:

Good death. My buddies LS1 Z28 was kicking out 523whp with just an STS Turbo and a tune (No other modifications). He needed race gas for that though, and was only kicking out 470whp on 91 octane. He just recently blew up his motor, and is putting in a forged one, hoping to reach 700whp (Forged internals).
You probably would've gotten him off the line pretty well, as those turbocharged LS1's are notoriously hard to launch off the line. Of course after the launch he'd be catching up pretty quick.
Time to start modding even more ;)

Hard to tell sometimes though. Seems like I trap 8-10 MPH faster than stock motor blown LS1's.
But if it has a good boost cam in there...it gets interesting.
I hung with a 375 LSx running 9 PSI from a front mount T76...on the highway. I pulled him pretty good until he got full boost, then he very slowly started making it back. I would probably just get him down the 1/4.

I dunno about that. I heard a crazy ass Supra with a massive turbo smoked a turboed Viper really bad. The Supra sounded abnormally mean. Not at all like an inline 6.

yeah about this comment I would have to disagree....it would depend on what blow off valve and how much boost...its not like an exhaust system where its a obvious difference in the sound.....

Definately. As of right now the plan is to pay off a few small debts, and get back to modding it. Larger TD04 turbos, larger SMICs or possibly a FMIC, 550cc injectors, supra pump, meth or propane injection, Greddy Emanage etc. Aiming for something like 450-500AWHP for now...it may not happen with that setup, but if I still want more, I'll go bigger further down the road. Not trying to build a drag car, just a nice 11 sec. daily driver.
