today I was driving my car and i decided to do a few 1-2 gear pulls. so I looked at the boost gauge and it read 12psi. I looked the the peak boost on my greddy boost controller and it said 12.5psi. what may be causing this?

IF you have an EBC that may be your problem. Those things are nitoriously unreliable. I would trust your boost guage before your EBC.
Another possibility is the vac line to the guage/sending unit may be slightly kinked. Check the guage lines.
If the lines are all good you know it's just your EBC.

I love the ebc that I had and I will never go back to a mbc mostly because I'm lazy but also because its nice to be able to adjust boost on the fly. I actually might be getting my hsk evc back from the guy that bought my car because he cant figure it out lol
