Thermostat Location 96 grand am

Where is the thermostat located on a 96 grand am because my car is running cold even with cardboard in the front and i realy need heat!

Please Help

Sorry it is a 3.1L 6cl with and auto trans.

It is Located under the throttle body area.

If you follow the top radiator hose(on the drivers side) it leads right down to it.

You will need to remove the air intake tube to get to it.
Might have to lossen or remove the exhaust crossover heat shield to get to the two bolts.

Pretty sure they are 13mm botls on the thermostat housing.

Heres a pic of that location, you 3.1 may look a little different but its in the same spot.

Thanks alot i will check it out tonight and replace with a 195.
