Having trouble with dome light staying on

I have a 1995 Ford Explorer! The other day, I was getting in my explorer and my door alert light came on and stayed on. I got out and shut all of the doors, and it still wouldn't go off. So, I went on to what I was doing. So the next day, I went to get into my Explorer and the door alert light was still on, but now, my dome lights won't go off. If it is sitting still, I can put it in gear and drive it and the dome lights will go off. But when I park it the dome lights stay on and also, my passenger side window won't go down either. So now, I am stuck with taking the fuse out every time I park it. I need some help! Does anybody have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!

Do you know where the door pin switches are on your '95? Ford has used switches integral to the door latch assembly on many models for quite some time, but I'm not sure if they did on the Explorer in 1995. If you don't see door pin switches in the door jamb, then you Explorer may have them in the door latch, and the switch may be sticking.

I've had good luck using electrical parts cleaner and spraying it liberally into the door latch assembly. Operate the door (open and close) a few times and see if that fixes it. If not, move on the the next door and clean that assembly, etc.

After the cleaner evaporates, use some silicone spray lubricant in the latch assemblies and again operate the door a few times.
