Anybody know how difficult it would be to get a US model car legal in Canada? Or the steps necessary to make it happen? Thanks.

Don't they need Day Time Running Lights? That's all I can think of. You might want to contact like the DMV or something and they should be able to connect you with someone that would know.

You'll need daytime running headlights for sure. You might be put through a smog test, so also keep this in mind. You won't need a re-renforced bar behind your bumper, as many other cars do just because of the Talon counterparts that are already in Canada that are built the same. You will be charged $100 for having an air conditioner also, working or not. I plan on importing my next vehicle by summer time, and as of late, this has been my best friend: http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html

It shouldn't be too difficult to import an Eclipse, hell, I've got my hands on one. Good luck :)

if the vehicle is one that is also made in Canada, it shouldn't be too hard...

If your speedometer shows km/h you should be straight there, ^and like stated, the DRLs... They also had something different a/b the seat belts... I b/l they required stationary belts... I can't remember... check with the DMV... and I'd post the site, but I don't have it, there's a customs site that tells you how to get things into Canada...

Dude... its Canada. Thats reason enough in and of itself. :p

Besides, it is Canada, how hot could it possibly get? Like 5 days a year above 75?

Some shit about the enviroment. All I know, is that when I bring a car over from the States, it'll be the highest pollution sorce in Canada, second to the Government's BSing, of course :)
