ok we have a 57 bel air 2 door it is an original still factory light sky blue and white and is a factory 283 car and we still have the old original numbers matching engine stored away but it needs rebuilt, it currently has an old 63 283 in it its dirty and such but it runs and drives, it has the original old power steering with the generator on it,
most of the chrome is all removed but we have it all, and also everything else that is removed(mostly all chrome trim parts and bumper ends) the pass side rocker needs replaced and theres a few small areas of floor pans that need patched but nothing major especialy for something so old, body is all straight no dents, needs a basic restoration, all rubber stuff, engine rebuilt, and etc but its complete and all stock and original and drives around under its own power, it should be restored as an original numbers matcher, and could be easily, he got it for 2500 i know, what i thought was really neat is that the white headliner in it is in really good shape and the dash all works, and all the lights and everything,

what would you think would be a fair price range for something like this, he has a guy very interested in it and we have no idea what might be fair,

he also has another 57 bel air 2 door and it was a straight axle gasser until about 1982 when it was retired/sold, it is tubbed and narrowed with a 9" axle with racing studs,
the engine is under the windshield inside the firewall, the body is perfect on it no rust anywhere not even the floors, solid car, but it is stripped inside and out as far as interior(no seats or door panels) and trim work and lights and such go, it is all brown primered up, it runs and drives, it currently has a rebuilt old '68 or 69 chevy 307 in it with about 50 feet on the clock lol, its not really even broken in yet, the old sbc race engine that was init in its racing days sits in the basement taken apart in storage as it has been since about '82 or `83

he wants to sell it too but i dont know what it may be worth either, not sure what anyone could do with it other than restore it as the gasser conversion that it is since its a solid front axle and tubbed and all

he wants to sell them even though he has had the gasser one for decades since the day that he bought it from my old neighbor who did the conversion and was a very prominent local old racer guy back then and raced this car,

he wants to restore the '72 454/4spd muncie chevelle SS coupe and the '68 corvair monza vert and the '54 F-100 pickup and some others, so he wants to raise some extra $ real quick to fund these, i really actually like the gasser all except for the solid axle, sad to see it go when it does, hum,., is a staight car also, and could be real fun to drive around with a mild 350 or 400 in it. very driveable

will have pics soon

thanks for anything

It really depends on what condition its in. Some pictues would definatly help guess the value. On ebay they sell for a pretty penny.
