Hi,
My car is at 75,000 miles and long over due for this operation.
I have never done this before and to tell you the truth a little hesitant to do the spark plug and wire relpacement but I would like to do it myself.
Ok, the car is a 2000 Camaro V6 and has never had the spark plugs or wires replaced. Where do I get the supplies and what will I need?
I would like if someone could post it the full step-by-step process of how to do this. I would also like to know if I will need any special tools.
I would like to try to complete this project on Friday or Saturday.
I'm sure I will ask more questions,
Thx
Mason

Well, obviously, you'll need new spark plugs (gapped to specs) and new wires, and if you want to do a full tune up, you'll also need a new air filter, and a new cap and rotor. As far as the spark plug change, you can do one plug and one wire at a time so you don't get them mixed up. You'll just need a spark plug socket, a ratchet, and probably some band-aids. Not too sure on a V6, but on the V8's, there not a lot of room to work. Also, use anti-seize on the new plugs. You may have to get to some of the plugs from under the car, like the rear passenger one.
