ok... so I turn my wheels all the way to either direction and when I press on the gas hear/feel a clunking noise. OR... if im taking a corner I hear the noise. Its comming from the front of the car... I cant tell which side though. Anyone know what this could be? Im thinking it has something to do with the struts/tyrods.

Have the axle shafts checked. Since this happens under power and while turning the CV joints could be going bad. Also have the suspension components checked. You may have a bad bushing, strut or control arm or even a ball joint. They can cause the same type of noise. I would have it checked as soon as possible. A CV joint will last but the other items can cause safety issues if left unchecked.

Yay... of course a car I have to fix before christmas... This sounds expensive too. thanks for info. It will be a couple days before I can scrape together the cash to get this fixed, so in the mean time, my wheel isnt gonna fall off or anything is it?

Actually... im starting to think. My buddy had the same car as me... im not sure if he had the same noise or whatever going on, but he was on the highway doing about 80mph and his wheel came off or something... he isnt too sure what happened, but he hit the gaurd rail and tore up the side of his car big time.... Im hoping my problem doesnt cause something liek that to happen...

I really don't think you have to worry about the wheel falling off but go ahead and check to make sure the wheel lugs are tight just to be on the safe side. I also wouldn't take any 80 mph rides until you have it checked. But otherwise you shouldn't have any problems until then.

Clunk Fixed. I finally got around to taking it in to the repair shop today and it was the right outter tie rod end. Only cost me $150. Thanks for the replies.
