I have had my 03 BMW 325ci for about 3 or 4 months and already had to replace one of the HID lights ($1200). The dealer said it was connected incorrectly thats what caused it to go bad. Today when i went out side neither of my Running lights were working the check engine light came on and the transmission exclamation point light was on. I cut the car off a couple of times didnt help then i drove it a few feet and cut it off and back on and that made the trani light go off. I called the dealership being that it is still under warranty and i have an appointment in a few weeks but what i was hoping for from this post is maybe a couple of things to tell them to look at. From experience my dealership does not go above and beyond they only look at what you tell them to look at. I am not a mechanic so i was hoping someone who is could give me some advice as to what maybe the problem and what could be the cause of these fun times.

Thanks in advance!!

I could tell you what to look at... try another dealership... if the car is under factory warranty, then ANY dealership is required to service it.

However, if you're not happy with the dealership you have, return the car, and buy from another one. You should really get a clientelle list, and consult it, when buying a car from a dealer... if noone else was happy with their purchase/service, chances are, you won't be either... and P.S., there are 24 cans in a case, and 24 hours in a day... THAT'S a coincidence... your dealer being a douche, that's just common.

You said the light was incorrectly hooked up why was it serviced to begin with? How bad was this thing wrecked before you purchased it? the most common problem you are describing would be either a bad ground or a faulty communication problem with the DME or ZKE module
