Is anyone offering Ferrari, Porsche, and Aston Martin colors in the US now that Cobra Colors is gone? I do know that MCW is still around but his colors are more of the 60's and 50's.

We have some of them and I think that there is no problem on shipping overseas, only problem is the usually expensive shipping costs we have here in Spain.

If you want, enter our website and ask to any of our distributors.

Shipping something considered a hazardous product to the US is risky business, both for the shipper and the receiver - before engaging in any transaction I recommend thorough research.

Nic, you could try http://ourworld.cs.com/mcwautofinishes/ but I think they deal mainly in colors for US vehicles.

I don't like MCW. I tried special-ordering a bunch of Mercedes colors. First, he told me I was ordering too much because he's a one-man shop (so was Cobra Colors!), and second, he was only able to mix a couple Mercedes colors from the 80's. While the paints seemed accurate in color, they were way too gritty, proving useless. When I made a special request for a Mercedes color from Leon at Cobra Colors, he was so nice and produced an excellent product. He is already missed!

Must admit, MCW aren't always the best alternative, but until Leon can get his feet back on the ground, MCW is the only US alternative.

BVC500- You're speaking of Model Car World, not Model Colour Worx? I've been wondering if Model Car World is decent, and if it would be worth a try. I'm not sure if it's telling or not that this is really the first time I've ever heard it metioned. Ordering too much? :shakehead Let me guess, you special ordered some Mercedes Rauchsilber and metallic green from Leon?

Damnit I miss CobraColors. I literally spent the last year learning to truely master that stuff. I can do things with it now that would have utterly amazed and frightened me two years ago- in much the way a cigarette lighter would amaze and frighten the guys who put up Stonehenge. Anything else these days feels like I'm trying to paint a body with primary school fingerpaint. :disappoin

MPWR Yeah, I'm talking about Model Car World. He's better known for his 50-60's American car manufacturer paints. He'll do special order paints, which are not only expensive, but also limited to the outdated PPG (?) color codes, thus he couldn't mix any of the newer Mercedes colors. I wouldn't recommend Model Car World because of the limited nature of his colors for european cars, the cost, the quality (or lack thereof), and the fact that he got annoyed that I tried ordering too many colors. Again, he's better known for his american car colors.

You're right! I bought 4 bottles of Smoke Silver and 1 bottle of the Mercedes blue-green used on the new SLK.
