A piece of steel bed frame fell off a truck and hit my car on the highway a few weeks ago. I got an estimate to fix the damage and it was way more then I was wanting to pay. Basically the passanger fender is pretty dented and scratched up and the passanger side mirror is also broken. I was thinking of buying the new fender and mirror and installing them myself with the help of a friend.
I am somewhat handy, but have never tried anything like that before. Has anyone done it? Do you think its worth doing it myself? Any suggestions? I have found both parts on ebay and I should be able to get them both for around $100. Anyone know of where I can get a diagram or instructions on how to do this?

neither of those are very hard to do...just time consuming. All you have to do for the fender is take out all of the bolts under the hood and in the wheel well, then just remove it....sounds easy. The mirror is connected with a few bolts behind the triangular trim piece....i've never done it personally, but it can't be too difficult

i think its both easy and not so time consuming... also dont forget the boltsunder the car and in the door jamb area... and one tip... leave all the bolts a little loose when you put the fender on, that way you can adjust the fender to get the proper panel gap, then tighten....
