How do I get the best pictures of my cars?

Ok I'm going to try taking some better pictures. I've got an old Minolta Maxxum 7000 35MM camera. It is decent and I just found out that I can focus it manually so hopefully I can get better pictures. I don't know where to take them though, and in what type of weather conditions. Is it better to take them inside or outside?

I like to take mine outside on a fairly sunny day in the shade, sometimes in the sun if it's not that bright. :)

I take mine somewhere that the colours suit/match the colour of the model i am taking photos of. Or where there is good scenery. Time of day dont matter for me, I take them when its light, when the sun is setting or when its raining or has just stopped raining...It really depends on what you want to do

I like to get my pics outside. If the car is a dark colour, take the pic in the shade on a sunny day to help bring the gloss out in it.
Take the pic low down, the same as you would if you are doing a photo of a real car.
IMO alot of people take the photo of there model too high up and it looks like you would have to be standing on a 20foot ladder to take it

if you have a photography store near you try to get a "portrait kit"
it's a set of screw on lenses for close ups, they might have a used one !
