Timing Belt

I have a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L SOHC. Does anyone have any good instructions on how to replace the timing belt or where I can find some good resources for that?

Had a good mechanic friend do mine; but wanted to add while you're researching how to do it, don't forget to do items that NEED to be done while you're there - or you could find yourself going back in in a matter of days - weeks.

Along with the timing belt, make absolute CERTAIN to also do the timing belt tensioner (this is the item most prone to failure - sounds like a rod knocking when it goes bad) and the waterpump, at the very least.

Since I was keeping my truck indefinitely, I also opted to do the idler pulley; idler adjuster; crankshaft/camshaft seals; all coolant hoses within reach; and the O-rings under the intake manifold.

if you're going to be doing this and more, i'd suggest forking over the big$ for the factory manuals from www.helminc.com (http://www.helminc.com) or yearly subscription at www.alldata.com (http://www.alldata.com) (but i like the hardcopy books better, myself)

and yes do timing belt, timing belt tensioner and water pump all at the same time so you don't have to duplicate the work again any time soon

This is a pretty straightforward changeout. It was only my second time doing a timing belt and the mark and match method worked fine. Where are you planning to get your parts? Be sure to ask if the tensioner is included in any kit you may purchase, because many times it is not included.
