Whats your favorite? (Read: actual beer to drink and enjoy, not get silly and try to get your d-wet...ie Natty Light)

My favorite used to be Bud Light but then I went out on a limb and tried Samuel Adams Boston Lager and it changed my life.
I could actually taste my beer and when I go back and compare, Bud Light just tastes like fermented soda water.

What about you guys?

I like Sam Adams beer also. Way back when, (when I used to drink a lot of beer,) it didn't matter much as to what it was. But now that I'm older and don't drink as much beer,(more of a mixed drink and wine drinker now,) my tastes are a little more discerning. I'd rather spend a little more and try other beers that are not so mass produced , more of a "craft type" beer, microbrews, and small breweries. I also like Guiness.

i haven't drank too many american beers, only bud, bud light, and coors. of the americans budweiser isn't bad, coors was the best american i tasted, and bud light was too weak.

for canadian beers i've had: Alexander Keith's (very good), Moosehead (also very good), molson canadian (meh, forgetable, good to get drunk off of), labatt blue (didn't like it, kinda cheap beer), and rickard's red (also very good). now my fav of those, that's a tough one, i was drunk when i had rickards but i remember really liking it, i really enjoy keith's and moosehead equally. i haven't had enough moosehead to compare so right now i'd say keiths.

now for german beers i've had a few but my fav is Schneider Weisse, it was awesome on tap but not as good bottled, it was a huge difference.

so i guess i conclusion, it's almost a tie between keiths and moosehead but i've had keiths enough to say i enjoy it very much, moosehead will need a bit more tasting.

I'm a Heineken man all the way. Although me and my friends at school drink alot of Miller High Life while we watch football since the imports usually cost so much more and we're poor college kids.

I'm always down to try new beers though. As long as they're not light :puke: I got stuck drinking Coors Light last sunday when my friend's coworker kept buying us pitchers of it. Beer etiquette forced me to drink it.

I like Speight's, a nice NZ ale (bring on the Tui and Export loving haters - although I do like Tui as well).

I never say no to a Stella either.

Really like Red Hook ale, and some Fat Tire usually hits the spot. But that's American piss beer. The real stuff is in German microbreweries.

If anyone ever goes to Barbados, i am told they have THE BEST beer in the WORLD! Its called "Banks Beer". They have a natural spring under the island, and they make it from that. My Father was actually thinking of trying to get some imported to the U.S since its currently not available here.

, Keystone Ice is all I drank freshman year of college. I then shamelessly graduated to $1 22oz. of Steel Reserve Malt Liquor... yuck. (I even drank a whole bottle that was opened and warm on a dare. thank god refinement comes with drinking less.

As one of my Economics professors put it, "It not economically feasable to drink cheap beer. The return of something that tastes like horse piss doesn't make sense."

It was something to that affect, but he had the whole class laughing. I never bought cheap shit. Even if I knew there would be free Keystone, I usually brought my own. Beer cans are permanantely banned from my premises.

I usually try something new all the time. I like Hoegarden, Sam Adams, Dos XX, Corona, Guiness + Bass = Black & Tan, Samuel Smith (Oatmeal stout is excellent), La Fin Du Monde (pretty much all Unibroue beers), Franskiener, I could go on and on. I love beer and I drink too much nowadays. Oh well.

Malt liquor!? Don't even get me started. I'll inhale some Old English 800 like its water. But the malt is usually reserved for periods of depression and self loathing. Nothin says "I just don't give a fuck" like a 40oz in a brown paper bag :icon16:

Just sampled Widmer's Hefeweizen, and found it to be very good.

Until now Coor's Light has been the massdrinking beer in our family, although I find the frost brew liner tends to give it a bitter aftertaste.

And another vote for Strongbow. Great stuff.

Yeah if I can't find a Guinnes I'll just make some coffee and dump out a full ash tray into the cup of coffee. It's remarkably similar.

:uhoh: We used to down the 912's all the time at school, but I had to stop. I always woke up with a crazy headache afterwards. That stuff is crack in a can.

Do you drink the silver label steels or the hardcord black label? I never had the black cause they don't sell it in tallahassee. They don't sell 40's in tallahassee either :disappoin Thank god for sweet home chicago

Sam Adams, I swear by the stuff, all of the seasonals too. Best All Around Beer, and for a cheaper beer, Bud or Corona (not light)

Yes, yes it is. Busch is terrible. My great uncle only drinks that stuff. I never drink when I'm there, and my dad will have one just to be nice. But when after a second he won't touch it. Busch is terrible. I'd rather pay more for good beer, but if you want to go that cheap get Nati or Keystone. Hell, get Mickey's that some good ass cheap malt-liquor.

Hoegaarden, or Leffe Blonde.

ooh last night i was at the ABC and had some good ones. I felt like getting hammered, but in style, so the two that i remember drinking are

Trois Pistoles, a 9.0% ABV ale. Pretty good and not as malty as one would think. i'd give it an 8.

then i had... uh... something, i dont remember, what it was called. it was a 12% ABV lager that considering how high gravity it was, actaully tasted pretty good. the only thing that put me off was the fact taht you could smell the booze i it everytime you took a sip.

I had some more good beers, but my memory gets very fuzzy after that.

last night the engineers had a kegger with three different types of beer. we started off with immitation keiths, not bad, then we moved to a keg of immitation rickards red, again not bad until it get's warm, and that's when you know you've been making out too long and haven't been drinking enough. then we went to something else and i can't remember how that went, i was completely wasted and stoned by then. but i liked the rickards, it went down pretty easily.
