Steering Wheel Alignment

I recently dropped the cradle on my 92 Transport & replaced the engine & trans. Now, the steering wheel is about 1/8 turn off when driving straight. I double checked where I reattached the steering shaft to the rack & it only goes in one way as there's two flat sides and a notch where the bolt goes throught to tighten it down. I even pulled the steering wheel off to see if I could realign it there but it too looks like it can only go on one way. It seems to drive fine so I'm pretty sure the wheel alignment isn't that far off. Anybody have an idea ? Thanks.

It is possible the cradle is slightly skewed relative to its former position due to the bolt holes having some play. THis is then corrected by the wheels turned same angle in opposite direction. Hence this has no effect on alignment except the annoyance of having the wheel off center.
Of course, easiest correction is to rotate the tie rod end adjustments by same amount on both sides..that is one to shorten, the other to lenghten. I think this will require about one turn.
