We have a 97 accord automatic. The car has been in the garage for two weeks. There is no electrical power at all. I tried to jump start and when we connected the good battery the electrical system came on, dashboard lights lit up and so forth but when we turned the key to start all the lights on the dashboard flashed and and a click, click, click sound came from the engine compartment. The starter didn't turn and the engine had no response. The fuse for ignition seems to be fine. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on? thanks

Yeah...the battery is still dead.

If it was completely run down, it'll take 15-20 minutes of being jump charged with a RUNNING vehicle before it will start, if the battery is still any good.

You are hearing the starter solenoid rattle because there isn't enough juice available to hold it in engagement, much less turn the starter motor...
