Ihope someone can help. I have a 1993 lumina z34, and I appear to have a transmission fluid leak towards the front of the car beneath the fans near the radiator area . Would this be a problem with the tranny fluid coolant lines or a much worse problem. What is the fix in this situation? Any helpful info wopuld be greatly appreciated. Also some how to hint would be awesome.

Take a look at the lines and fittings at or near the rad. just a matter of checking it out.

Try tightening up the pan bolts and the side cover bolts. They do come loose in time and have to be tightened up.Tighten them by hand only and you can get to some the side cover bolts. It could be a bad pan gasket too.I believe that is a replaceable pan gasket and stay away from the black ones from the filter kits. They are a pain in the butt to straigthen out and do not seal very well.

There was always a time when all those old ones would start leaking at the ferrules on the OE transcooler lines....I'd cut the ferrules (the cast compression clamps on the ends) off, and replace the hoses with good oil transfer hose, and use two clamps on each end, with the screws turned facing in opposite directions for a real good fit.
Make sure the fittings aren't just loose at the radiator first, like Max said.
