i read in superstreet that the cams on the b16 with auto tranny loses about 20hp, something like that. get it and upgrade to ctr cams.

Take it from me, guys....I've personally owned two JDM first gen B16A's. my first was a 5 million series motor off of a EF8/9 Civic or CRX SiR. it was rated at 160hp...however it burned oil and i blew it up...my fault due to overrevving (long story that i've told too much here). My current motor is a 1 million series motor of an Integra XSi/RSi...im almost positive it was a DA8...maybe DA6. anyways....i purchased the long block from hondamotorsonline and where the flywheel normally is...there was a flex plate. this told me that it was obviously off of an automatic integra XSi/RSi. and the serial number matched up (1 million series) since i knew that there was never an automatic SiR...civic or crx. Anyways the automatic version of the motor is supposed to be a detuned version of the five speed. it is supposed to be rated at 150-155hp intead of the normal 160. this is due to the less aggressive cams, and the ecu. read my sig for my mods...but i cannot tell any performance difference between this motor and my old one. well, my last motor was shitty and burned oil...this one does not at all and appears to have extremely low miles on it. i do however plan on replacing my cams with the CTRs....or just putting my old 5 speed ones back in that are still perfectly fine..and getting my 160 back. hope that this long ramble helped out some
