Check your timing belt. Open the oil cap and watch the valves for movement while cranking. If you are lucky they will move :)

You may also want to check on the crank position sensor. If it is not putting out a signal then there will be no spark.
Is the computer giving any codes?

I wrote in one of the other threads that my Escort would not start and it turned out it was the engine coolant temperature sensor. Disconnect it and see if it makes a difference. You can bypass it by sticking a 56K ohm resistor into the harness. It takes about 3 minutes and $17.00 to change. I have over 200K on mine and have not hardly had to fix anything.

Pull your plugs. Is there oil on them? Is there anything left to the ceramic that burns away? Check the gap while you have them out.

You could check the inside of the distributor cap to see if there is any carbon built up that would tend to short circuit between any two posts.

update on the car .had it towed to friends house, got the timing cover off everything lined up like it should, checked the fuel pump working fine, pulled the plugs had a slight film (coolant) reinstalled plugs tapped on the air flow sensor while cranking it starts after two minutes the radiator is building up pressure.pressurized system and could hear air blowing into two cylinders guess what i'm doing next removing head ,hope she ain't cracked.

It might be hard to see a crack in the head. I've found that by pouring alcohol into the combusition chambers it will make a crack show up by flowing into the crevice. Use isopropyl. Everclear is kind of expensive. Save it for after you get her fixed.
