Anyone else seen an Aston Martin Vanquish? I just saw one near Middlesbrough (north east england) so I chased it! I only passed my test a week ago and i got a Fiesta so it was quite difficult to keep up!! Followed him for about 8 miles though along some quick country roads, it was great fun we were doing about 90 sometimes! These are pretty exclusive even in England i just wondered if anyone else had seen or even heard of one??

I've seen 3 or 4 different ones. Some guy on my street has one, with a nice license plate on it, and i see one of the James Bond ones in Harrods near work every day :D with the guns and all
Vanquish is an awesome car... drop-dead gorgeous :)

I saw not a Vanquish, but a DB7 Vantage on Tuesday. It was parked near my equipment truck in the Weston Shopping Center parking lot. I was lucky enough to be standing there when the owner returned, confirmed for me that it is indeed a V12 underhood, not a supercharged V8, and started it up and pulled out. It sounded absolutely amazing, and naturally, looked pretty damned nice too.
I've heard very few V12s, and I always wondered about the descriptions that I had typically heard, that they sound like a jet engine. Now I know that those descriptions are indeed true :D Even my co-worker, who was with me at the time, and who cares little about cars, couldn't deny how buttery smooth that engine sounded.

I was 110% sure the 'regular' Vantage had a Inline 6 Supercharged, or did they drop that engine?

It first had a 3.2l six, then a 5.9l twelve in the Vantage.

I was following a Vantage this morning on the way to work up the A19 to Newcastle, awesome car and it had V12 OWN on the number plate. Unfortunately I was in my works van and as soon as there was a clear road it was off.
How come I never pull up behind something like this in my Vette, then we would see if it really had what it takes. ;)

Man, you guys are lucky. I consider myself lucky to see a Viper, new Mercedes, or anything other then the pieces of shit everyone has around here. I guess thats what I get for living in a shitty little town. Oh well, someday I will move to a nice place and post exciting threads on this forum. :flash:

Yup. I've seen a Vanquish in South Hampton Long Island. It was parked in a lot right on the water. What a sweet sight that was!

Sorry, this wont be very comforting news, but i just saw the Vanquish and didnt get some pics! sorry!!! i walked outa my house, went to cross the road when the V12 plate'd beast flew by making an un-be-lie-vable noise, the first time ive really seen him cane it... so i ran to my car, hopped in, fired up my monster one point six litre engine and went off to catch him up!!! went around the first bend and saw him at the end of the road signalling to turn right (which thankfully is the way i was going)... a space opened up and he absolutely caned it out of the junction, i followed, much less quickly :D, i caught up with him as there are speed bumps on the road, but when it opened up he flew forwards again... a little further ahead the traffic light turned red.. he was revving the car very nicely, two cars ahead of him was a beautiful red Ferrari 348 convertible. I slowed down to get a look at the Vanquish, man it was truly beautiful, i not only wish i had a camera but a tape recorder so i could get some of that sound... i turned off left and the Vanq and 348 both went straight on so thats the last i saw of them... it was a pretty eventful trip... i saw a black Porsche 996 Turbo a few mins later, a dark blue Ferrari F355 a few minutes after that, a gorgeous E30 M3 (i love that car), a blueish E46 M3, an Estoril blue E36 M3 (beautiful car, beautiful colour), a couple 993's, a few 996's, a 928, a Maserati 3200GT, several Boxsters, SLK's and Z3's, a Merc CL500, an SL55 AMG, a Bentley Arnage.. i think thats about it... not too bad for about an hour on the road!!! :D

LOL. If I spent an hour on the road hear, I'd be lucky to see one Mercedes. I think there is a total of one Porche in my whole town. Everyone has ugly SUV's (Aztecs, OLD Blazers and Broncos). I'd love to live by you and go out driving on a nice day and see a bunch of beautiful cars like that. The only way I get to see any of those cars is at a show. :silly2:

all we have in my small town is 3 vipers and like 5 H2's no big deal. but there is one pantera and one sterling here also and if the pantera didn't belong to my friend than that would be a good sighting every time i see it. i think the sterling is a kit car though.

Havent seen one of those yet, theyve only just got to the UK.
Saw my first, second, and third Murcielagos in very quick succession though (about the space of a week). They were all the same colour - yellow - so it might well have been the same one, but i doubt it as they were quite far apart in different locations. Still, awesome car!

I live and work in Kensington, so i see my fair share of nice cars :D
A handful of Ferraris every day, mainly 355's and 360's, then you have your 911's, 911 Turbo's, a GT2/GT3 here and there, Boxsters, M3's, M5's, AMG's, RS-everythings, a Lambo now and again, and of course a Vanquish now and again too :D .. without forgetting other Astons, Maseratis, Jags, TVR's, a Corvette at lunch today (that's quite rare, not that i overly mind hehe), Bentley's, Rollers.... pretty damn much everything.... a McLaren F1 but thats in a dealership so doesnt really count..... theres a Ferrari dealership near me too, which, needless to say, is very nice :D
oh yeah i saw a dark blue Viper the other day with the white stripes down the bonnet - cant remember if its one or two stripes, i was comin out of a club and i'd had a few so memory's a little hazy... :D but you dont get american muscle cars too often.
