Yes,give the primer a good stir before you use it and it will be grey.

Yeah, that sediment is good stuff. :grinyes: It is what will fill any fine scratches, provide tooth for the paint to adhere to, and protect the plastic from the paint. It is the actual 'primer'.

If it's what Eric's linking to there, then it's not a surface primer in the true sense, it's a filler.

this is why I ask.. I wasn't aware that Tamiya primer was available in bottle (I wish it would... damn spraycan cost too much)

May I add somthing here?
Do you guys apply WHITE primer using AB? I cant find any GOOD white primer for airbrushing from LHS. I found TAMIYA fine primer is the best quality I ever tried but only available in can...I need to skim it off the can every time I want to apply it using AB. :banghead:
Do you guys has any suggestion on WHITE primer?
Ive seen Gunze's white base an alternative but that pissed me off..it is semi gloss and not opague..

In two weeks, I'll be testing Finisher's foundation white (shipped by Rainbow Ten). So I'll post a review once I get it.
Also, this isn't exactly primer, but Modeler's Color White is by far the most opaque white I've ever used, as I demonstrated in this post, so you might want to add it to your next shopping list of kits from Japan. It's synthetic lacquer like Tamiya Spray.
