2000 2.2 sunfire wont start

ok long story
stopped my car it was running fine.tried to start it no go it rolls over theres lots of fire and the fuel pump kicks on.i towed my car to a frieds house to change fuel filter pushed in the garage tried the car it starts.i changed the filter.the car was fine for three months go to work same problem car wont start same symptoms.finally after trying to start it at work for two days it starts.Now after a year it does it again.tried to disconect battery lots of spark pump kicks on anybody any ideas please!!!:banghead:

Maybe the O2 sensor is giving it false readings?
