How do I remove bushings from ctrl arms?

So I have all 4 control arms pulled out (took me about 6 hours today) and there are no shops open tomorrow (Sunday) who will be able to press my bushings out and in. Does anyone have any clever ideas on how I can do this in my garage with limited tools and a bad attitude?
I tried a clever jerry-rig that turned out to be not so clever. I used the clamp for loading/unloading the torsion bars, but it wouldnt really fit the way I needed it to fit.

Anyway, I'd appreciate any tips from those more clever than myself.

Unfortunately, while you might get creative and perform some destructive removal of the old bushings, the replacements really should be installed with a press and the appropriate drifts and supports. There are portable presses suitable to the task, as well as the standard arbor or hydraulic presses. Findind one available during off-hours might be a chore, however.

Thats the only way I think you can do it without the "proper" tools.

uhh huh uh yeah .. dont do what that guy did in that link, better yet could we find out where he lives so we can avoid driving near him - it never amazes me what some people will do to save a few bucks:screwy: - anyway no need to enlarge the holes or heat the crap out of anything till your new bushings glue themselves in place - please take the arms to shop that will charge you about a half hours labour or a case of beer to do it properly and without risk of burning your house down ..

Thanks. Yeah, I ended up getting them to a shop yesterday. I should be able to pick them up today and hopefully get them re0installed before Thanksgiving, but if not then it'll give me a good excuse to get some alone time Thursday morning.

The shop is charging me $45. a couple of shops quoted around $70, one shop quoted $135 and one shop actually had the balls to quote me $480 to press 8 bushings out and press 8 new ones in (They fully understood the control arms were off the vehicle). I explained I could buy the recomended tools from the GM service manual for less than that.

Anyway, thanks for y'alls help. I'm sure I'll be needing more of it soon.

Dont insult me for trying to help the guy out! He asked the question.
