Yep, sort of.

In the attempt to make my hatch quiet, and not so damn noisy, with little squeaks and rattles. I completely tore out my entire interior, being careful not to break stuff either. Oh, this also was a good time to finish getting some of this nasty silver paint out from the previous owner. Anyways, when everything was out, I noticed there was some nasty grime all over. That had to be cleaned out as well. So, to begin I grabbed a bucket of warm soapy water, and my shop vac. Then I scrubbed, cleaned, etc. all the nasty piles of sticky goo, dust, and dirt. Once dried, I sat back and admired how spick and span everything was. Oh, in case you are wondering, it is loud as hell driving down the freeway with nothing but your dash, and driver seat. :D

Next, I wanted to lay down some sound deadening stuff. So I went to the parts store, and picked up four cans of undercoating, which works awsome for this purpose. The down side, is I just added 4.75 lbs of weight to my car . Anyways, I masked off all the important stuff, windows, plugs, etc. Then went to work coating the whole inside bottom half of my car.

After 24 hours of dry time, it was time to put things back together. My plan on putting the body panels back on went like this. Grabbing a tube of silicon caulking, I put little dabs of caulk where each part of the interior panels would be snapped into place. This would prevent them from ratteling around, but would be easy enough to pull apart if needed.

After everything was put back together, I waited a few hours to go test things out, hoping all the time that my work would pay off.

Well......I am glad to say it did. No more rattles, squeaks, or little noises that annoy. Also, the road noise has been significantly cut down. Well worth the three days work, and extra 4 3/4 lbs. :smoker2:

Took you 2 hours to hook up 2 subs? I can understand that if you also had to hook up an amp too, but still that is a long time. Takes me about a hour to hook up an amp, crossover, and wire the subs up. But that is mainly because I know where to run all the wires.

I know what you mean about the squeaks though man, since I don't have my subs in there anymore, I hear them everywhere. Amazing what all noises you hear when your not getting a massage from your subs.

Took me three to put in my 12 and get it all figured out.

lol, I used to be a big sound guy, but got away from that, now trying to learn some more on performance. I think the last time I installed my amp and crossover it might have taken me a little bit longer, because I ran the wires under the carpet on the back of the back seat. Looked really nice.

I got the same problem on my rear drivers side suspension... I'm pretty sure it's just a worn out bushing or something...

You guys have the same squeek i had if its the same take off the rear tire and the strut now move the trailing arm toward the car and then toward you if that bushing is bad in the front its where your squeek is coming from. Can also cause a slight shift when going into corners fast and tight.
