Brake light help needed!

I have an 92 integra and here is the problem.....My tailights work but the brakes won't come on!
I checked the bulbs and the fuses but they are both good
what could be the problem?

the brake light switch prolly went, its a black box looking thing underneath the dash on top of the brake pedal.
