Stutterboxes give your car more horsepower by assisting the turbo. Barely anyone does it, because it's so expensive. What it does is it delays exhaust before it can power the turbo, so when it finally releases it, it shoots out more boost, therefore making more power because it builds up the power. It's like a really strong blow off valve that builds pressure for more boost.

Just kidding, there was a thread on this no more than a month ago I think. Use the search and you'll find your answer. If you can't find it, try google. If still nothing, use wikipedia. Thank you.

Studderbox allows you to set what rpm to rev to. Basically it moves the rev limiter. Say you want to launch at 4500rpm, you set the settings on it to 4500rpm. You can then flow it while the car is at a stop and it will rev no higher than 4500rpm. Perfect for launching, thats it.

Studder box is nothing more then the rev limiter. There are 2 types. 2-step and 3-step. 2-step works with the speed sensor. When the car is not moving and the clutch is not compressed the car will rev to it's redline rev limiter setting. When the clutch "is" compressed the car will move the rev limiter to the a lower set value. This puts load on the engine and alows for boost off the line..

The 3-step is a 2-step with one extra feature, it incorprates a third set rev limit while the car is moving and the clutch is being compressed. Also known as NLTS (no lift to shift). That lets you substain boost durring shifts.

So with a studderbox does that make it so that you cant hurt your engine with a no lift shift...because I have heard horror stories about that....
