RSX pretty slow...

From my one encounter with an RSX it didnt run all too fast. Two girls (hmm could be why) in one RSX was lined up wit couple guys in Accord with turbo (heard whoosh sounded like blow off). Ya so these two cars are going at it on Oso Parkway (south oc) and I being the bored individual on my way home decide oh why the hell not and pull up 3rd lane. Had both cars off the line and cut back when i hit 80. Those two fools continue on, I need not run into cops for racing. So there you have it, my encounter. btw if you curious i was drivin '94 Infiniti J30 with 155k miles... that old beater still hauls some ass... 3liter V-6 stock. RWD weighing 3500lbs.

Oh do be careful what you say. A lot of girls can probably beat most guys in a race. In this day and age we still have major sexists. It amazes me.

Was it an RSX Type S? Cause if not it wouldn't of had a chance against a turbo accord.

There is no substitute for displacement. That's how you probably got them. Plus, it was only you in the car. The other 2 cars had 2 people in each. Makes the car heavy.

Either way a kill is a kill and you did it. So good job. I just hope that one day you get your ass kicked by a girl because of what you said.

Ya, the girl remark slipped, no offence intended... theres that girl stereotype and around suburbs i see it a lot. I know I wont be gettin my ass handed to me cuz I normally dont be makin comments like that... Just assessin the possibilies of why I passed both them. I figures my car is heavy oaf and those two had better chances, oh well I had fun, no one wrecked or got pulled over. I had to have been a Type-S cuz it hung with the accord, but I didnt even see the tail until they wizzed by me doing something like 90-100.

-Push button starter huh? Thats cool and convenient, but what if you left you car unlocked by accident, is there a kill-start or somekinda preventive security device?

So you went to the trouble of putting in a button to be like an S2000 instead of twisting your wrist another 1/4"? that makes no sense to me. whatever makes you happy though.

I Think that is why guy sterio type so much because "most" not all make thier cars very ricey and all show. They don't even make the all show part even look good. It is more like all Ricey. Geez you guys are harsh. You all forget that I have only had my car for a little more than a month. You all have had years to put on performance parts. Give a guy a chance. I haven't been sitting in the groups saying that mine is the fastest around cause we all know it's not.

I am entering in NOPI Nationals this weekend in the conservative class for 2 reasons:

1. It's cheaper to entermy car in the contest($65) than paying for my girlfriend and I for two 2 day passes($80). We both get in with my car.

2. I wanna see what the judging is like, criteria etc.

Do those of you who bash this and that on someones car really think that the person is gonna listen to you? It's a knee-jerk reaction to automatically shut out any opinion that they have.

P.S. I had already ordered the starter button when I found the rims that I want for my car. Velox VX-K. I'm not looking for speed in starting up my car. If I wanted that I would just press the remote start button on my alarm. I just wanted something different. That's also why I won't get Tantrum wheels put on. I want something that you aren't gonna see everyday.

as unreadable as his post was, customwhips had a point. Too many people judge others on the little things. Everybody has their preferences. There's nothing at all wrong with altezzas. They look a lot better than the stock lights, at least to some people. And if thats how they want to do to their car, let them do it. Whatever happened to

In the same breath, people start dogging on his taillights and start talking crap about him. That's not right. Everybody likes different things. If he likes altezzas and push button starters, more power to him.

Souped up imports come a dime-a-dozen nowdays and everybody knows it. And I'd be willing to bet almost all of them have been called rice at some point. Maybe not to their faces, but under the breaths of whoever to whoever... Just because a car only has altezzas or something doesnt mean the owner isnt going to do anything else to it. Not everybody has some big corporate sponser and an unlimited cash flow. The people who work on a budget are the best because they know the true value of the car and the real work it took to put into it. Everybody hates something. If you've got altezzas, you can be sure some fag somewhere hates them but you like them so it doesnt matter. if youve got undercar lights I guarentee you somebody will hate them. But if you like them, thats all that matters. It takes a lot to stand out in the crowd and some people will never notice no matter how nice it is and nobody but the people who spent their last cent buying a darn good header instead of paying the rent will know how hard it can be to do.

Don't bitch about or diss or talk crap about somebodies ride just because they've got something you dont like. Maybe they do like irt and it shouldnt be anybodies place to shatter their dreams. I admit, some cars you know they wont do more and they havent done crap to and their riced as it gets, and some cars just arent meant for souping but people do it anyways but in all honesty, guys... some people dont have as good of circumstancces as we do and cant afford more than what theyve got. think twice before just randomly dissing people.

I'm not anywhere near done with my ride and it looks pretty stock right now (with the exception of "rice-tezzas" and some lights) but in a few months I'll be ready to hit the streets in style. People cant really see what I've done with my car. Most of its in the engine and that's where I like it. But I'll pass by someone on the street or something and people will think im just another little bitch high-schooler with mommy and daddys money. I worked hard and earned every damn penny it took to buy the car and buy the mods but everybody just assumes bullshit. I've been working and saving since I was 10 years old on a godforbidden paper route and as soon as i dropped that i worked my ass off to get enough money. I still work my ass off but nobody can bring themselves to say "nice ride" or at least have the decency to say nothing at all. everybodies a critic. its always "I bet your all stock under there" or "its just another rich kid". Never accused of being "rice" to my face, thank god, as I've made sure not to get anything ricey anywhere near my vehicle. But its the bullshit "im too cool to tell another guy his car is cool." Only very few people around here, when they race, will give a thumbs up or a smile or even a glance to the winner. They'd rather just be assholes about it. The other day some little dodge shadow or something pulls up next to me and revs his engine like he's cool (Showing off to his friends in the car.) I put him in his place bad and at the next light we stop at, instead of saying nice race or something he starts absolutely screaming about how pittiful I am and he was gonna kick my ass cuz im just another punk. I just ignored him and went on. Next weekend the same thing happens again: somebody pulls up next to me in a grand am or something and starts talking shit. I win and he gets pissed and actually follows me until i stop in the parking lot where i needed to go and he gets out of the car and wants to fight me because he lost the race and was embarassed in front of his 2 very very stoned friends. I got a bloody nose but beat him unconscious and then the cops show up and they get busted for possession and then for assault, battery and harrassment. It would have just been easier to smile, nod and go on having fun in the race.

Just think twice before deciding you want to be an asshole.

I haven't decided yet. Because I don't want them to be too heavy I will probably go with 17x7.5. But they also come in 18x7.5
