Hi this is my first post here but I've read many and have collected so much good info so when faced with the chance to buy some already inexpensive wheels for even cheaper I needed to ask this.

this is the ad for a set of rims...

4 - 15" American Racing Chrome Wheels - Excellent Condition, 5 lugs, - 15x7", 5x4.75" Lug Pattern - Fits the 1989-2005 4x4 Chevy S10, Chevy Blazer GMC Sonoma, GMC Jimmy. May Fit Other Model Years

I was wondering if these would fit a 88' Caprice Classic. What size tires would go on them and would there be a clearance problem in teh front? So far I've been told that they should fit the back with no problem and the lug spacing is right but my concern is the 15x7".

15x7 is definitely a good size, the 1988 Caprice Classic (excluding most 9C1s) uses the 5 on 4.75" bolt pattern. Your only concern should be wheel offset - everything else should be fine.

Not sure on an aftermarket wheel. But anything for the S-10 became "hub-centric" at some point in there. These factory wheels would require machining to fit over the center hub on the Caprice. Don't know if the aftermarket wheels will have the same problem. Call and get the model number and look it up on American's website.

Also since i'm on the subject of wheels my cousin has some stock 94-96 (don't know the year or if there's a difference) Impala SS rims on his caprice and he's looking for some bargin tires to hold him over for awhile and we ran into someone with some P245/65R17 Brigestone Dueler H/T 689 I was wondering if those would fit on the stock Impala rims?
