88 tbird vrs 87 probe

uncle bought a 87 ford probe stock wants to race title for title vrs my 88 tbird with chip and cold air intake which would win....i think id take it without chip and cold air intake and they are both automatics?

What do they have for motors? And I didn't know that ford made a probe in 87. I thought the probe was introduced in 89.

um t bird has 5.0 and probe has 3.8 i think and thats wut i thought too but he said it was a 87
