Funny Sounds from my 95 Blazer

For the past 2 weeks now I have noticed a noise starting more and more every time I start up my Blazer. The sound is a gurgling sound, like taking a bottle of water turning it upside down and listening to it come out. It starts when I turn on my truck and take off and now it is doing it when I am just parked somewhere. Any ideas?

I agree with silver snail, but more importantly, you have to find out how the air got in there. If the coolant system wasn't open for anything, like a water pump replacement, rad replacement etc, etc, you have to see where your getting air in. The rad cap is a common problem on these trucks, so you may want to take a look at that.

When the engine is stone cold go out and fill the rad and the overflow bottle up to the maximum and install a new rad cap. Use only properly mixed orange dexcool.

Go for a ride, the tank will puke out some coolant until is stabilises which is normal.

air will eventually work it way out.

BTW, don't use an AC Delco rad cap, they are defective even when new.

On the money LT.

Also I would continue checking hear and there to make sure the radiator is full. You may want to raise the front and let it run to get the air to move to the radiator, then you can burp it out.

My 1995 every once in a while will gurgle a bit but it will eventually work its way out after a good drive.

But it won't if the old rad cap is still on there.

Thanks for the advice. Now I finally have an idea of what is going on.
