94 jetta stereo wiring

i just bought my jetta from my friend and he had an aftermarket stereo in his. instead of buying an adapter, he just spliced the stock wires to the head unit. well he doesnt remember which one is which, so i need to know what color wire connects to where on my stereo. i need to know all the wires. thanks
