I just may never buy this system, it's all hype to me. Vision GT looked the same as GT4, in the gameplay anyway.

Looking at the way people are acting at the release of PS3, ( long lines days before the release, people setting up tents by the store, the going price on eBay, etc) it's no wonder other countries hate us. Looking at the media coverage this has received, it reminds me of seeing the long lines for food in the old Soviet Union, and other poor countries.

I agree with the above, it's a darn video game after all, lol. (but for some, a way of life ).
What I like about the 360, is how the basic console has accessories that you can buy [I]separately, keeping the core system cost down. There are some people who just don't care for a built-in HD-DVD/blu-ray player, or a wireless net system. HD DVD isn't built-in, it's an accessory on the 360, so you won't get stuck paying for something you don't need, just as with the wireless network adapater, etc. I mean, $600 for a console? I don't think so. I'm perfectly happy with my $399 X360, and the fact that these individual upgrades are sold separately means I can get them anytime I want later in the future.
In the mean time, not having any of those accessories doesnt in any way diminish the purpose the console is meant to serve: play video games.
