the message says it all, I have a good idea i'm just confused on a few things. I know the motor has to tottaly cold for the most part, and i have a feeler gauge with me. So and insight and the specs i should go by would be helpful.

Thanks,
Chris-

first you gotta unlock the rocker arms valve adjuster thingy. watch out cause if you never done it before it might be tight and lets just say that when i was trying to adjust a vavle last time, there was a little slippage and bleeding, more bleedingand yes more bleeding, and the deepest slice i ever got before on my pinky finger. its in the bone, its in the bone, that says enough. i was down for days.

well then tighten it enough where there is resistance on the feeler gauge when you try and pull it out. then tighten it, and yoru done. that should be it.

someone plz correct me if i am wrong

Ok so I got everything all nice and dandy, understood all the steps with out even lookin at the book pratically, and spent the breif 3 hours before i went to work today doin the valve adjustment....

Long story short...SOMEPLACE along the line i fucked something up cuz now the ticking is UNBEARABLE. This screwed me for racing tommrow cuz now I have to spend the day redoing all my valves. And to top it off i had to drive my parents car to work...lol sorry but i was lookin forward to taking my car you know how it is.

Its sorta odd, the intake valves seemed ok but alot of the exhaust valves were either touching, or so loose the feeler gauge would slip right though with no resitance. I think i didn't tighten all them down enough i left them too loose...well tommrow i'll be a bit more through on them I REALLY hope i can do this.
