92 Taurus Hard Steering right only

Ok, so in addition to all the other problems I've had with this car including 2 racks, the most recent being last year, now the steering is extremely difficult ...but only to the right. Had it to a shop and they said the rack was bad again....hard to believe. They also said the pump was almost worn out but that the pump alone couldnt be my problem as it would be difficult to steer in both directions. In an unrelated service (regular oil change at a different shop) I was told the right outer tie rod end was going to need replacement. Could I be lucky enough to only have to replace a tie rod end to cure my problem? Anyone ever heard of real hard steering in ONLY one direction? (maybe time to get rid of this beast)

The rod along with a blown upper mount bearing :dunno:
