It's the same thing as the JDM SiR-G and US GS-R. It's not a Type R engine.

Why is it a C3 and not a C1, aren't the JDM GS-R equipt with a B18C1 too?

The jdm SiR-G doesn't have a number after the engine code, it's just a B18C (which can be confusing because the jdm Type R engine shares that same code). The B18C1 is a North American only engine. But from the info I could find, the b18c3 is a replacement engine that people in the uk could buy straight from Honda; and wasn't found stock in any car. It has roughly 180hp. But the only speed limitations will come from the ECU that you use, because that is what controls the speed limiter; not the engine itself.

Nice to know! I am pretty sure though that all the type-R s had a b18C5, JDM, USDM, EDM, no difference in the block code.

Nope, the USDM (I believe canadian too) had the B18C5, but the rest had just a B18C. Though there was a B18C6 over in the Europe. But a lot of people online refer to it as the B18C5, just so people know which engine they're talking about.

I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as USDM Type-R:shakehead

I am talking about the integra. Are you saying that US never sold type-r s? I am pretty sure you misunderstood something in there.

I was under impression it is a civic forum, not integra :) and you did not mention integra specifically, so I assumed you were talikng civics...
